THE MYSTIC TEACHINGS OF THE ANCIENTS
STEP INTO THE PATH OF INTERNAL ALCHEMY
From the icy headwaters of the vast Himalayas, the wisdom of breath and energy practices rolled out into the surrounding lands like the sacred rivers they birthed. The unique teaching that issued forth was the unification of breath, awareness, and body as a single method - a combination I broadly refer to as internal alchemy. The techniques that arose from this philosophy of practice became many, finding roots in different places. It morphed variously into neidan, yoga, tsa lung, and other traditions which kept to that same underlying approach. Each ancient culture couched in those mountains or flanking them received and produced the greatest masters of ancient times. Now those teachings have spread far and wide, and people all over the world avail themselves of their treasury. In this new spiritual landscape so fueled by the internet, people have become spoiled for choice where once knowledge was hard-sought and hard-won. From this sheer diversity and scope of teachings a new era of confusion and uncertainty has also arisen.
The goal of Open Alchemy is to clarify the often-obscure entrance to the practice of internal alchemy. After meeting many thousands of practitioners over the last two decades I saw that the most common question was simply where to begin. There is no one right answer to that which fits all people. Still, I have given the practice manual An Open Door To Internal Alchemy freely to anyone who would use it, to see one approach free of charge or burden. If you are new to this path then I hope it is a boon you can utilize until you find a suitable teacher. If you are already on a path then I sincerely hope you at least find it insightful and informative, a supplement to a journey you are already taking.
